The New York Yankees are expected to move on from second baseman Jazz Chisholm following the 2026 season. Chisholm, a two-time All-Star, will become a free agent and is not expected to receive a qualifying offer from the Yankees, according to reports. His current performance, hitting.216 with 17 home runs, has led to speculation about a potential one-year contract elsewhere to rebuild his value. The decision comes amid roster changes as the Yankees focus on a deep postseason run. Chisholm's struggles may have diminished his standing with the organization, while future replacements include potential free agents Gleyber Torres and Jeff McNeil.
