Yankees pitcher Ryan Weathers goes on injured list with forearm strain

Ryan Weathers has been placed on the injured list due to a left forearm flexor strain, compounding injury woes for the New York Yankees' rotation. Weathers revealed that tests showed his elbow is structurally sound, and he does not believe the injury will end his season. He will refrain from throwing for two to four weeks. With Max Fried also sidelined, the Yankees now have four healthy starting pitchers. The team, currently three games behind the Tampa Bay Rays in the AL East, aims to maintain their position in the AL wild-card race as they also welcome back outfielder Cody Bellinger from injury.
