Yankees proposed trade for Tarik Skubal receives poor outlook from mock GM

The New York Yankees are seen as a potential destination for starting pitcher Tarik Skubal of the Detroit Tigers, given the Tigers' struggles this summer. ESPN analysts suggested a trade package including outfielder Spencer Jones and either pitchers Carlos Lagrange or Elmer Rodriguez. However, a mock general manager responded that even this package would not be sufficient, suggesting a more substantial offer would be necessary to acquire Skubal. The Yankees may need to focus on their current rotation, which includes Gerrit Cole and Carlos Rodon, as a trade appears unlikely.
