Yankees sportscaster rejects trade proposal involving Aaron Judge

On November 7, 2026, Yankees sportscaster Michael Kay dismissed a trade proposal suggesting that Aaron Judge be sent to the Chicago Cubs for several players, including NL MVP favorite Pete Crow-Armstrong. Kay emphasized that Judge is indispensable to the Yankees, stating that trading him would not be well-received by fans. The proposal was brought up during Kay's show by a caller, who aimed to free up payroll for the Yankees amidst Judge's ongoing rehabilitation from a calf strain. Despite the proposal potentially making financial sense, Kay reiterated that the Yankees' pitching needs do not warrant such a trade, particularly with Judge's importance to the franchise livelihood.
