Cody Bellinger is expected to begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Scranton Wilkes-Barre as he recovers from a Grade 2 hamstring strain. Bellinger, who slashed.259/.350/.420 in 2026, has been on the injured list since July 25. His return could impact rookie Spencer Jones, who has struggled with a.210 batting average in 51 games this season. Jones has played multiple outfield positions since taking over for Bellinger but may be demoted upon Bellinger’s return.
