Yordan Alvarez leads All-Star voting as Astros seek resurgence

Yordan Alvarez is currently leading American League designated hitters in All-Star voting, according to MLB's first update. As of mid-June, Alvarez has hit 24 home runs and has an OPS over 1.090, showcasing his status as one of baseball's top hitters. The Houston Astros, once a powerhouse, now feature fewer stars, with only Alvarez and Jose Altuve among the top four at their positions. This reflects a significant shift from the team's previous dominance, as they look for a way to regain their form in the second half of the season.
