Zachariah Branch sparks Falcons with trick play in game against 49ers

In a matchup against the San Francisco 49ers on October 25, 2026, the Atlanta Falcons showcased a trick play involving rookie wide receiver Zachariah Branch. After a 61-yard kick return to start their first possession, Branch executed a reverse, contributing to a short touchdown pass from Michael Penix Jr. to Tanner Muse. The 49ers are competing without their top 17 wide receivers due to injuries, creating an opportunity for the Falcons to capitalize on Branch's big plays, particularly as the team seeks to gain momentum after a tough season to date.
