Zak Hardaker leaves Hull to join York Knights on two-year deal

York Knights have signed former Great Britain international Zak Hardaker to a two-year contract starting after the current Super League season. The 34-year-old requested a release from the final year of his Hull contract to facilitate the move. During his two-season tenure at Hull, Hardaker recorded 192 points in 46 appearances and earned team player of the year honors. York head coach Mark Applegarth identified Hardaker as an experienced competitor who will provide leadership for the club’s younger players. The move marks the eighth professional club for the former Man of Steel award winner. York currently sits in tenth place in the Super League table and prepares for their final match of the season at home against Bradford this Thursday.
