Zion Rose debuts as Omaha Storm Chasers face Columbus Clippers

Zion Rose, the Royals' first overall pick in 2026, made his minor league debut with the Quad Cities River Bandits this week. He appeared in three games, recording three hits and stealing five bases, including four in one game. The Omaha Storm Chasers won four of six games against the Toledo Mud Hens, with Brett Squires delivering a standout performance, hitting three home runs and driving in eight runs. The Naturals struggled, losing four of six to the Wichita Wind Surge. Upcoming series include the Storm Chasers' match against the Columbus Clippers and the Naturals taking on the Springfield Cardinals.
