Zoe Backstedt is set to ride her first Tour de France Femmes in August after winning two titles at the British National Road Championships. The 21-year-old from south Wales successfully defended her time-trial crown and claimed her first British road race title, both victories occurring over the past week in Ceredigion and Aberystwyth. Backstedt has expressed excitement about potentially competing in the Tour, scheduled to start in Lausanne, Switzerland, on August 1. Her recent successes also follow a sprint stage win at the Tour de Suisse Femmes, bringing her professional tally to nine victories.
