Zoe Backstedt, the British champion, believes women's cycling can become "unstoppable" with full television coverage, such as during the Tour de France Femmes. Backstedt made her debut in this year's race, supporting Katarzyna Niewiadoma-Phinney, who finished second. She expressed frustration over the limited broadcast of key moments and emphasized the need for complete race coverage. Backstedt's impressive 2026 season includes winning British titles and a stage at the Tour de Suisse Femmes. She will next compete in the Tour of Britain Women, which includes five stages and aims to match the men's race in exposure.
