Zverev captures second Grand Slam title at US Open amid McEnroe criticism

Alexander Zverev claimed his second Grand Slam title at the US Open by defeating Ben Shelton in the final, 6-3, 7-6(7-2), 5-7, 6-2. Despite his victory, commentator John McEnroe faced backlash for his post-match comment regarding Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner, which many fans deemed disrespectful. McEnroe stated, 'Get healthy Carlos and Jannik,' prompting a wave of criticism on social media. Fans expressed dissatisfaction with McEnroe's focus on absent players rather than acknowledging Zverev's achievement directly. Zverev's win follows his success at the French Open earlier this year, positioning him as a leading figure in men's tennis.
