49ers plan to limit Jaxon Smith-Njigba's impact on Sunday

The San Francisco 49ers are preparing to face Seattle Seahawks receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba during their matchup on October 15, 2026. Smith-Njigba has shown strong performance this season with 32 catches for 481 yards and six touchdowns in four games. Defensive coordinator Raheem Morris stated the team will not shadow Smith-Njigba but plans to match up Deommodore Lenoir against him at times. The 49ers have excelled at limiting explosive plays so far this season and will need to devise a solid strategy to contain Smith-Njigba. Sunday’s game marks a significant rivalry matchup in Seattle, adding to the competitive nature of the contest.
