The 49ers announced Thursday that they have signed offensive tackle Kion Smith. To make room for Smith, the team waived wide receiver Colton Dowell. Smith, who went undrafted in 2021, has played in 23 games with the Miami Dolphins, making two starts during the 2025 season. Dowell, a seventh-round pick in 2023, caught one pass for three yards in 10 games last season.
