AJ Styles details his 2016 WWE Royal Rumble debut timeline

AJ Styles recently discussed the circumstances surrounding his WWE debut at the 2016 Royal Rumble. The Hall of Famer stated that he learned of the opportunity only days before the event, following his participation in NJPW Wrestle Kingdom and subsequent appearances at Korakuen Hall. Before his arrival in Orlando, Styles underwent a mandatory medical evaluation to address concerns regarding his neck condition. He spent his initial time in the organization in isolation, completing administrative paperwork while keeping his presence a secret from most of the locker room. Reflecting on his entrance, Styles noted he felt significant anxiety at the time, leading to a stoic expression during his walk to the ring. This appearance marked the beginning of a ten-year career with the promotion.
