During this week's episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Chelsea Green, the WWE Women's Champion, revealed her struggles with self-doubt while preparing for her upcoming champion vs. champion match against Liv Morgan at the Crown Jewel event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Green, emotional during her confession, acknowledged the doubts voiced by others that resonate with her. Liv Morgan later taunted Green, aiming to emphasize her insecurities as they head into the pivotal match. The storyline suggests potential outcomes that could either establish Green's credibility or lead to an unexpected twist involving fellow competitor Tiffany Stratton, who may cash in her Money in the Bank contract. The event is scheduled for this weekend.

- 2:21 AMCageside Seats — WWE has a women’s champion who doesn’t believe in herself
"This is one way to go with this match! This week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown gave us the last opportunity for WWE to build to the Liv Morgan vs. Chelsea Green champion vs. champion match for the Crown Jewel championship at the premium live event of the same name in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia this weekend. How did they do so? By having the WWE champion admit she doesn’t believe in herself. Don’t take my word for it. Watch her get emotional while saying she’s been taking Morgan’s words to heart, because she sees many others say the same, and how it hurts so much because she, herself, says the same: You absolutely DO deserve to be WWE Women's Champion, @ImChelseaGreen!! 👏 👏 pic.twitter.com/xNia1mW9kc — WWE (@WWE) November 7, 2026 SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis was fantastic here helping drum up sympathy for her but how pained he looked at hearing her tearing herself down. Naturally, Morgan showed up to make fun of her for crying while saying she can’t wait to prove all those voices in Green’s head doubting herself exactly right. It’s hard to imagine they would set this up in such a way that Morgan would actually make good on her word here, because it would put Green in the proverbial dirt, buried way down under it. Then again, it could also be setting up a big win for Chelsea, putting her at the level of those she wishes to be associated with, and giving us a perfect feel good story for Tiffany Stratton to turn heel with by cashing in her Money in the Bank contract on her. We won’t have to wait long to find out which direction they go here. Get complete SmackDown results and coverage of this week’s entire episode by clicking here.
