Amari Barrett commits to Texas Tech basketball program

Amari Barrett, a 6-foot-4 guard from Oklahoma City Millwood, has committed to the Texas Tech basketball team. Barrett played a vital role in Millwood's back-to-back Class 3A state championships, averaging 17.0 points per game this past season. He also posted 16.4 points and 7.4 rebounds during his junior year. Barrett is the third high school player to join Texas Tech's 2026 recruiting class, which already includes forwards Treaton Hall and DaKari Spear. Texas Tech has also signed three players from the NCAA transfer portal.
