Ambrose Kinnare improves in second round at Junior Players Championship

Ambrose Kinnare of Tocoi Creek High School improved his standing during the second round of the Junior Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass on Sept. 5. After shooting an 82 in the opening round, Kinnare recorded a 74 to move to 12-over for the tournament. The junior golfer highlighted his round with a chip-in birdie on the 17th hole and noted adjustments to his tee-shot strategy. While Kinnare remains in a tie for 66th place, he stated the performance offered a needed confidence boost. Meanwhile, Charlie Woods remains in contention for the title, finishing the second round at even par 144. Woods is scheduled to tee off for his third round on Sept. 6 at 9:30 a.m. along with Matthew Marigliano and Esteban Llorente.
