Junior Players Championship marks two decades at TPC Sawgrass

The AJGA is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Junior Players Championship this Labor Day weekend at the Players Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass. Seventy-eight golfers from 16 countries and 19 states are competing at the venue, which also hosts the professional Players Championship. The field includes 13 members of the 2026 Junior Presidents Cup teams. The tournament aims to provide elite junior golfers with the experience of playing on a professional-level course with official PGA Tour hole locations and locker room access. Since the event began, 87 golfers have competed in both the Junior Players and the professional Players Championship, including Bud Cauley.
