Andre Onana returns to Trabzonspor on loan from Manchester United

Andre Onana is set to rejoin Trabzonspor on loan from Manchester United, with the deal finalized as of July 3, 2026. The agreement allows Trabzonspor to pay up to £1.3 million and cover most of Onana's wages, while there is no option to buy. This marks a second consecutive loan spell for Onana, who had previously struggled to find his place in the United squad after his arrival from Inter Milan for £47.2 million in 2023. United's signing of Senne Lammens has made Onana surplus to requirements. He previously helped Trabzonspor win the Turkish Cup last season and will return to Manchester in summer 2027, with his future beyond that uncertain.
