Anthony Bowens and Max Caster head toward free agency in October

AEW performers Anthony Bowens and Max Caster are set to reach free agency on October 1 as their current contracts expire. Reports indicate that no extensions have been finalized for either wrestler. While Bowens has competed in 12 matches this year, most recently appearing on the All In pre-show, Caster has not appeared for AEW in 2026 and has worked on the independent circuit. WWE has reportedly expressed interest in Bowens, having previously attempted to sign him in 2019. The two wrestlers formed the tag team The Acclaimed and held both the AEW World Tag Team Championship and the AEW World Trios Championship during their tenure. The potential departure of both performers creates the possibility of a tag team reunion should they become available to other promotions simultaneously.
