Antonio Rudiger signs extension, set for key role at Real Madrid

Summary

Antonio Rudiger has extended his contract with Real Madrid, keeping him at the club until 2027. The center-back's renewed deal follows the team's efforts to strengthen their defense after the last season, including adding new players like Marc Cucurella and Ibrahima Konate. Rudiger's experience is expected to be vital for new head coach Jose Mourinho, particularly as Konate joins the squad after participating in the World Cup. Mourinho continues to seek additional defensive options, with Alessandro Bastoni as a potential target.
