Arizona defeated Northern Arizona 35-7 on Saturday night in Tucson to begin the college football season. Quarterback Noah Fifita threw for 262 yards and two touchdowns, while Kedrick Reescano added two rushing scores for the Wildcats. Arizona dominated the defensive side of the ball, limiting Northern Arizona to 193 total yards and minus-seven rushing yards. The Wildcats defense also recorded five sacks, including 2 1/2 from Chase Kennedy. Northern Arizona managed its only points in the fourth quarter when Noble Young-Blackgoat returned an interception for a touchdown.
