Aston Villa agrees to pay €35m for goalkeeper Zion Suzuki from Parma
Summary

Aston Villa is set to finalize a €35 million deal for Parma goalkeeper Zion Suzuki. This development follows a collapse of negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain, attributed to last-minute demands from Suzuki's entourage for additional commission. PSG had initially agreed to terms but withdrew when the demands were made, viewing them as unreasonable and possibly illegal under French regulations. Aston Villa's willingness to secure Suzuki's services aligns with their need for a regular starting goalkeeper, as he may not have guaranteed playing time at PSG. The transfer is expected to proceed without further complications.
