The Oakland Athletics have activated shortstop Jacob Wilson and recalled left-hander Jacob Lopez from Triple-A ahead of their series against the Detroit Tigers. Wilson's return follows a shoulder injury that delayed his comeback, and he has recorded a.277 batting average with four home runs this season. Lopez, who recently made two strong starts in Triple-A, is expected to fill a role in the bullpen, taking the place of Kade Morris, who was sent back to the Aviators after a brief stint in the majors. Backup catcher Brian Serven also returns to the minors after limited play with Oakland.
