The Oakland Athletics are reportedly interested in trading for Kansas City Royals All-Star pitcher Kris Bubic ahead of the trade deadline. The 28-year-old left-hander has a 4.11 ERA but is currently on the injured list. With the Athletics sitting 3.5 games out of first in the AL West and close in the Wild Card race, acquiring Bubic could bolster their rotation as they aim for postseason contention. While he will be a free agent after the 2026 season, the Athletics may seek to establish a longer-term relationship if a deal happens this summer.
