The controversy originated from a Sky Sports segment featuring the sons of former Pakistan prime minister Imran Khan. Babar stated he was unaware of any discussions regarding a team walkout, a position supported by head coach Sarfaraz Ahmed. Despite the off-field scrutiny surrounding the broadcast, play continued without interruption as England completed a 194-run victory to secure a 2-0 series lead. Pakistan managed only 194 runs in their second innings, with Saud Shakeel scoring 97. Imam-ul-Haq remained unable to bat due to a calf injury sustained earlier in the match. The two teams are scheduled to meet for the final Test in Birmingham beginning September 9.
