Barcelona prioritizes Julian Alvarez ahead of transfer deadline

Summary

Joan Laporta met with Barcelona's sports committee on August 26 to discuss transfer strategies as the window approaches its end. The club emphasized their commitment to signing Julian Alvarez, who is the top target despite Atletico Madrid's resistance to selling. Barcelona's plan is to either secure Alvarez or defer the move until January, rather than settling for an alternative. Additionally, the committee reviewed potential departures, including Marc Casado and Hector Font, while Alejandro Balde's future remains uncertain as he desires to stay at the club.
