Barcelona targets Ajax defender Youri Baas as January signing option

Barcelona is showing interest in Ajax defender Youri Baas for a potential winter transfer. The 23-year-old has caught the attention of Barcelona’s sporting director Deco due to his ability to play as both a centre-back and left-back. Despite this interest, financial constraints may limit Barcelona’s ability to secure new talent. Baas, who has a contract with Ajax until 2028, is also being pursued by clubs in the Premier League and Bundesliga, presenting added competition for Barcelona. The club is reportedly also exploring other defensive options to address their roster needs.
