Bayonne Bees to receive parade honoring Little League World Series run

The Bayonne Bees will be honored with a city parade this Sunday following their recent participation in the Little League World Series. The event was rescheduled to 1 p.m. due to an expected morning rain forecast. This marks the first time in Bayonne history that a team has competed in the Little League World Series after advancing through the regional tournament in Bristol, Connecticut. Although the team won their first two games at the World Series before being eliminated in their next two outings, city officials have commended the roster for their performance. The procession will begin on 9th Street and Broadway, proceeding south to conclude at the local Little League facility at First Street and Kennedy Boulevard. Mayor Sharon Nadrowski stated that the city plans to celebrate the team as local heroes for their achievement.
