Beechwood defeated St. Henry 23-25, 25-12, 25-18 on August 27 to win the Ninth Region All 'A' title for a second consecutive year. The Tigers rallied after dropping the first set, utilizing strong serving and offensive plays from key players. Freshman Kennedy Sturgeon and senior Isabel O'Brien helped lead Beechwood, which served a total of 14 aces during the match. The squad will return to regular-season play against No. 7 Lexington Catholic on August 29, before competing in the All 'A' state tournament on September 18 and 19.
