Bennett Stirtz impresses with Oklahoma City Thunder in preseason action

Bennett Stirtz has showcased his skills with the Oklahoma City Thunder during the 2026 NBA preseason, scoring 35 points on 12-of-20 shooting across two games. Drafted with the No. 16 pick, Stirtz is adjusting from a primary role at the collegiate level to a complementary position with the Thunder. He aims to support two-time MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who will draw defensive focus, allowing Stirtz opportunities as an off-ball player. With a roster shakeup resulting in the departure of key role players, Stirtz's performance may lead to substantial minutes in the 2026-27 season.
