Berry Wallace named to Cheryl Miller Award watch list

Illinois junior forward Berry Wallace has been named to the Cheryl Miller Small Forward of the Year Award watch list on October 29, 2026. Wallace is among 20 players nationally and one of five from the Big Ten selected for this inaugural recognition. She started all 34 games last season, averaging 18.4 points and 6.2 rebounds per game, and earned unanimous First Team All-Big Ten honors. This marks the first time an Illinois player under head coach Shauna Green has made the preseason watch list, and Wallace joins four other Big Ten players in the nomination. Fan voting will begin on October 30, and the list will narrow to 10 candidates in February.
