Big 12 teams record 13 wins in opening week of football season

The 2026 college football season began this week with all 16 Big 12 programs playing their opening games. Thirteen schools secured victories, with 10 of those wins decided by at least two possessions. UCF led the conference in scoring with 73 points against Bethune. Colorado finished a comeback victory against Georgia Tech, while Houston managed a win over Oregon State.
