Big Ten teams open football season with multiple victories

Big Ten football began its season with several programs recording opening wins on Saturday. No. 1 Ohio State secured a 56-3 victory over Ball State, while No. 2 Oregon narrowly finished a 34-27 win against Boise State. No. 6 Indiana and No. 14 USC also opened their campaigns with wins against North Texas and Fresno State, respectively. Michigan overcame a late deficit to defeat Western Michigan 13-12 following a controversial video review that added one second to the game clock, allowing a final touchdown pass. The Wolverines struggled offensively for much of the contest after scoring on their first possession. Ohio State prepares to travel to Texas for its next matchup.
