Blaize Ward, a rising sophomore second baseman from Missouri, has committed to Vanderbilt baseball as of June 9. Ward hit.296 with four home runs and five doubles during his freshman season with the Tigers. His addition addresses Vanderbilt's need to replace outgoing second baseman Mike Mancini. Ward joins other transfer commitments, including Wofford outfielder Niko Brini and Maryland outfielder Bud Coombs, as the Commodores build their roster for the upcoming season. He will not be draft eligible until 2028, allowing him to contribute for multiple years.
