Bob Baffert named advisor to HISA's Horsemen's Advisory Group

Bob Baffert was appointed as one of three new advisors to the Horseracing Integrity and Safety Authority (HISA) on August 14. In his role, he will provide input on Racetrack Safety and Anti-Doping and Medication Control programs. Alongside him, trainers Jena Antonucci and Tim Keefe also joined the advisory group, which consists of 18 members. HISA’s CEO discussed the importance of the new members in enhancing the sport for horses and participants. Baffert’s addition comes after a controversial past involving a suspension from Churchill Downs related to a failed drug test of one of his horses.
