Bode Sparrow, an Oklahoma commit, set a new Utah state record for career touchdown receptions on October 8 during Davis’ 49-13 win over Layton. Sparrow caught three touchdowns, bringing his total to 59, surpassing the previous record held by Puka Nacua. This season, he has recorded 17 touchdown receptions, following impressive performances in prior years, including 10 touchdowns as a freshman and 16 touchdowns in both his sophomore and junior years.
