Braves place Robert Suarez on 15-day IL, recall Hurston Waldrep

The Atlanta Braves have placed reliever Robert Suarez on the 15-day injured list due to right elbow inflammation, retroactive to June 23. Suarez, who recorded a 0.56 ERA this season, had been sidelined recently with right forearm tightness. His absence comes after the Braves recently welcomed back Tyler Kinley from injury. Hurston Waldrep has been recalled to fill Suarez's spot in the bullpen. He is expected to pitch following starter Reynaldo López in tonight's matchup against the Giants. The Braves also outrighted Carlos Carrasco to Triple-A Gwinnett, where he elected free agency.
