Brawls disrupt joint practice between Cowboys and Saints in Oxnard

The Dallas Cowboys and New Orleans Saints held a joint practice on August 18, 2026, in Oxnard, California, that was marred by several fights among players. Saints center Erik McCoy was involved in multiple brawls, which included tossing his helmet and exchanging punches with Cowboys linebacker Donovan Ezeiruaku. As a result, Ezeiruaku was removed from practice for the second time this offseason. Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer expressed disappointment over the aggressive nature of the practice, stating he needs to review the footage to address the behavior. The practice lacked the intended rhythm due to the fighting, impacting the team's ability to effectively prepare for the season.
