Brayan Rocchio hits walk-off home run to help Cleveland beat Detroit
Summary

The Cleveland Guardians defeated the Detroit Tigers 7-6 on Thursday at Progressive Field in the first game of a doubleheader. Detroit jumped to an early 6-1 lead behind a four-run first inning and a Spencer Torkelson solo home run in the third. Cleveland countered in the fourth when Brayan Rocchio hit a grand slam to tie the game. After several scoreless frames from both bullpens, Rocchio secured the victory with a solo home run off Drew Sommers in the final inning. Max Clark led the Tigers' offense with three hits, but the team failed to produce any runs over the final five innings of play. The loss continues a season-long trend of bullpen struggles for Detroit.
