Brewers trade Craig Yoho and Blake Perkins to Guardians

The Milwaukee Brewers have traded reliever Craig Yoho and outfielder Blake Perkins to the Cleveland Guardians for catcher Bo Naylor and pitcher Codi Heuer. The deal comes just days before the trade deadline, with Naylor, who struggled offensively this season, and Heuer both assigned to Triple-A Nashville post-trade. Milwaukee initially seemed content with Gary Sanchez as their backup catcher, making the acquisition of Naylor somewhat unexpected. Perkins had fallen out of favor with the Brewers due to ongoing offensive struggles, losing his spot in the major leagues earlier this season. Further transactions may be forthcoming as both teams continue to prioritize player development.
