Brewers trade Yoho and Perkins to Guardians for Naylor and Heuer

The Milwaukee Brewers initiated their trade-deadline activities on August 1 by acquiring catcher Bo Naylor and reliever Codi Heuer from the Cleveland Guardians. In exchange, the Brewers sent reliever Craig Yoho and outfielder Blake Perkins to Cleveland. Naylor, 26, has limited major league experience with a.199 batting average, while Heuer, 29, has a 4.66 ERA in eight appearances this season. Yoho was named Milwaukee's minor-league pitcher of the year in 2024, boasting a 2.15 ERA over 20 innings this year. Perkins has struggled offensively, hitting just.157 this season. Further updates on this transaction are expected.
