The Brisbane Broncos have secured outside back Wilson De Courcey on a two-year deal beginning in 2027. The 20-year-old previously competed for the Newcastle Knights after joining their system from Penrith in 2023. De Courcey made his NRL debut in Round 5 of this season but opted to leave the Knights following a contract dispute. The player recorded 14 tries in 17 appearances for the NSW Cup side throughout 2026. His arrival aims to bolster the Brisbane roster following the exits of Jesse Arthars and Gehamat Shibasaki. The Knights continue to manage their roster depth as players like Tyson Frizell and Brodie Jones remain off-contract at the end of the season.
