Brooklyn Nets build young roster with talent acquired from Houston Rockets trade

The Brooklyn Nets are moving forward with a backcourt anchored by Egor by Egor Dëmin and Mikel Brown Jr. as a result of a 2024 offseason trade with the Houston Rockets. In that deal, the team exchanged four first-round picks to secure the draft assets necessary to select Dëmin eighth overall and Brown sixth overall. Dëmin, a second-year guard, enters the season following a recovery from foot surgery and a strong summer league performance.
