The Lakers reportedly offered Brown a three-year, $50 million contract, hoping he would fill the starting point guard role. Instead, he opted to join the Indiana Pacers, and later returned to the Nuggets. Currently, the Lakers are in need of a starting-level two-way forward following their pursuit of Jonathan Kuminga, who signed with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
