Cabango injury leaves Swansea with centre-back dilemma after draw

Summary

Swansea City faced a new injury concern as Ben Cabango was forced off during their goalless draw with Sheffield United on August 22. Cabango, the club captain, left the pitch midway through the second half due to a heel injury, exacerbating Swansea's defensive issues, especially after losing Cameron Burgess to a likely season-ending injury. With the next match against Derby County approaching, head coach Vitor Matos may rely on younger players and recent signings in central defense if Cabango's injury proves significant. Swansea’s defense managed a clean sheet in the match but struggled to generate offensive opportunities.
