Calvary Baptist juniors Bockhaus and Sledge announce college commitments

Calvary Baptist softball players Baylor Bockhaus and Jaycee Sledge have verbally committed to play for Division I programs. Bockhaus, a junior shortstop, intends to join Duke after leading her team to back-to-back LHSAA Division III state titles in 2025 and 2026. She posted a.486 batting average with 21 home runs during her most recent campaign. Sledge, a junior pitcher and designated player, plans to sign with Southern Miss. She hit.388 this past season and is expected to increase her workload in the pitching circle for the upcoming year. The duo joins teammates Carlie Guile and Mallory Carver as recent college commitments for the Calvary program, while Loren Sivils is scheduled for a visit to Houston this week.
