Cameron McInnes signs three-year contract with York Knights

Cronulla Sharks co-captain Cameron McInnes will leave the NRL to join the York Knights in 2027. The veteran middle signed a three-year deal with the Northern English club, concluding a 13-year career in Australia that included stints with the Dragons and Rabbitohs. McInnes, who made his State of Origin debut for the New South Wales Blues in 2024, plans to join the Super League side following the completion of the 2026 NRL season. Knights head coach Mark Applegarth described the signing as a foundational move for the club's culture. McInnes will reunite with former Dragons teammate Paul Vaughn at his new club. The York Knights are currently second-last on the Super League ladder with two rounds remaining in the current campaign.
