Canada's World Junior hopefuls Reschny, Verhoeff, and Carels attend summer showcase

HockeyCole Reschny, Keaton Verhoeff, and Carson Carels are among 32 players invited to the summer showcase in Windsor, Ontario, beginning this week. The showcase will run through Saturday and aims to select the final roster for Canada's World Junior Championship team, which is set to compete in December. Reschny, a center, earned Rookie of the Year honors and was drafted by the Calgary Flames, while Verhoeff was selected by the San Jose Sharks. Carels, who had a strong junior season, was also drafted by Calgary. Other NCAA schools will have representatives at the camp as well, while Team USA, Finland, and Sweden also have players participating.
